Update and Future Opportunities to Volunteer

Red Cord Ministries has received some new funding that is going to allow more services to be provided over the next year. To God be the glory.

  • The Windows Art Gallery is open in Putnam, CT and Red Cord MInistries is renting space here to offer art classes to women and their children starting November 8 at 6 PM. These classes will be weekly and will bring together art and a supportive environment where “at risk” women can learn and grow.

  • Red Cord is hosting a “donation” gift wrapping table inside the Montgomery Ward Building for the five weekends following Thanksgiving. Volunteers are needed to wrap gifts and Red Cord appreciates donations of wrapping paper, tape and bows. Please drop these items off at 112 Main Street Putnam, CT. at The Windows Art Gallery. Text Theresa LaCasse at 860-382-5095. December 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22 and 23. 12 noon to 4 pm. 860-382-5095

  • On December 8 the first charitable Red Cord Ministries 3K walk will be taking place during the Downtown Putnam Holiday Strolls Ugly Sweater competition. Please visit the facebook page www.facebook.com/discoverputnam/ to register and receive instructions.

Please continue to pray for our goal of purchasing space that will provide Red Cord income and housing for women needing vocational retraining. The God we serve opens doors that no one can open. Praise the Lord.
