Our Mission

One woman at a Time

Red Cord Ministries hears the sad stories of women here in the Northeast corner of CT that have lost all hope. They struggle with PTSD, unmet needs for recovery, homelessness and mental health challenges. We hear them and are making plans to bring them hope and healing that can be sustainable and change their future.

One of our major objectives is actively seeking the Lords direction in the purchasing of a property that can house a business and provide income to purchase transitional housing. This facility will be used by women for up to two years while they heal, recover, save money and learn the skills necessary to live life independently.

Red Cord Ministries believes that sharing our personal relationships with Jesus Christ, along with one on one discipleship will provide many opportunities for women to make steps forward.

We find success in connecting with each other using the creative arts like painting, quilting, sewing, gardening, jewelry and candle making as a means and method to reconnect women with the patterns of life. For many, a state of calm is felt while creating which allows for a safe atmosphere to talk and connect.

Our Director Theresa LaCasse has opened an art studio named The Windows Art Gallery in Putnam CT at 112 Main Street where she teaches painting to all ages and has beautiful facilities for parties, bridal showers, baby gender reveal parties, paint and sips and children’s art classes. Please visit her site at www.windowscompany.online and book a party today. Supporting her helps her support this ministry. A free support group meets in this studio and is cast online on Thursdays from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The group is called “My Story” and helps women process how to move forward using srt and group discussions. Call 860-382-5095 for more information or to register.

How can you help?

"Any chance we can be together, we make bracelets for Red Cord. These we sell. We ask people to pray for the women and the ministry whenever they wear them."
