Hello Supporters of Red Cord Ministries

2019 was a year of big growth in the capacity of Red Cord Ministries to be available for women to connect in downtown Putnam, CT. The Windows Art Gallery allows Theresa to be open 5 days a week and gives women a place to be with vocational opportunities to engage in. Many women pass through the doors and a few return. Success is measured in individual relationships with them and not necessarily in volume. One of the hindering social issues is that the Northeast Corner lacks affordable housing, job training and recovery services that are effective in providing enough services for success to happen. There is another group of dedicated people making inroads in housing but it is still a ways off in terms of opening. This year also is bringing about fiscal changes for Red Cord. In order to continue to provide the level of opportunity and availability that last year afforded, Red Cord needs to begin paying some of the bills associated with keeping the facility open.
